Melanie Evans Jenkins
I’m 49 and have lived in Merthyr all my life. Dual diagnosis of ASD/ADHD in my early 40s made me look at life differently and make a lot of changes that have helped my mental and physical health. I’ve overcome addiction. I volunteer with several homeless outreach groups, I am trustee with a church charity, and currently work full time at Citizens Advice. I’m passionate about our local history and heritage, and protecting our green spaces. I also rescue hedgehogs and deputy chair of the Local Access Forum for Public Rights of Way, too.
Nicky Genders
Nicky is a midlife meanderer who quit her full time job in August 2020, moved into a campervan and had been meandering around the U.K. and Europe since.
She spends her time with her husband and Spanish rescue dog exploring new countries, looking after peoples pets and houses and generally living life to the full.
